RealWood™ Hybrid Alkyd Emulsion™ Primer
Woodtone has been manufacturing coated wood products for over 30 years. Over the years, Alkyd Oils have consistently offered the best performance while Acrylic Latex products have offered reduced VOC's. Our coating philosophy has always been to minimize the impact on air quality and deliver maximum coating performance. Over the years we have made many incremental improvements in our coating technology, steadily improving product performance. But our newest coating is a game changer.
Woodtone's newest primer has been developed exclusively for us, and it offers the performance of the traditional Alkyd Oil while having fewer VOC's than Latex primers. Our exclusive Hybrid Alkyd Emulsion™ (HAE) incorporates the proven polymer technology of our original Alkyd Oil but delivers it in an ultra-low VOC vehicle. Our HAE has 18% lower VOC count than the California Building Standards and more than 21% lower than the nearest latex primer.
To enhance the performance of our HAE primer we add Octabor™ from US Borax™ for mold resistance and greater long-term appearance. All told, our HAE primer is the most advanced in the exterior trim and fascia market, offering both superior performance and reduced environmental impact.
Every order coated by Woodtone is done within a factory controlled environment. This helps prevent jobsite paint spills and costly paint clean-up. Limiting paint on jobsites is one way you can help protect the environment.
