Manufacturing
While Woodtone itself has been in operation for over thirty years, the facilities in which we work and the equipment we operate most certainly have not. The oldest of our three manufacturing facilities went into operation in 2001! We are constantly learning and improving our manufacturing processes.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve our equipment, seeking:
- improved coating performance
- improved finish
- improved efficiencies
- improved workplace safety
This process is ongoing, with various pieces of equipment being changed out every year. The coating machines themselves average less than three years of age. These machines are the best in the business and are designed and built on-site. Recently, having toured our newest facility in Everett, WA, a paint company representative dealing exclusively with commercial coaters exclaimed “this is the best, most advanced, coating facility I have ever been in”.
A further benefit of operating three manufacturing facilities is redundant production capabilities in case of catastrophic loss; we are well positioned to react to the market and continue to maintain the high level of service our customers have come to expect.
